My how time fly's when your sitting in a lazy boy....

This september has not been the funnest on record here at the Dilley household. I have been having back pain since Dyl was born but havent thought much of it. I just figured I pulled some muscles and over time things would heal. About 3 weeks ago , after a work trip of Clint's I started having numbness on one side of my leg. I made an appointment with a back Dr. who seemed to think that a bit of Physical Theraphy would take care of the problem, which was most likely a small disk herniation or strain . He told me I could continue training for my half marathon, and he didnt think there was much to worry about....
Fast forward to a week later. I had just gotten back from my run and was going through my regular morning routine with the boys when all of the sudden I was felt extreme stabbing pains in my butt and down my leg. The pain was so intense I couldnt sit down or stop walking for that matter. I had to call Clint and have him come home. Luckily my follow up with the back Dr was that day. When I went into the Dr's office and told the attending physician what was going on he immediately went and got a surgeon who then went over my MRI with me. Lets just say it was not good. ... so the next day I went in for emergency surgery for a severe disk herniation, which had broken off in my spinal column and here we are 2 weeks later. I am doing really well. I just have major restrictions for like a month. I pretty much am able to lay down, sit on an incline and walk a bit. Thats about it. Thank goodness for my husband, family and friends who have all pictched in to help take care of me and the kids. The good news is I am feeling really good and hopefully at the end of the month I can get back to my normal activities. I cannot stand sitting -actually laying around while everyone else is taking care of my house and family. I cant wait to get back to normal. I have been blown away by everyone's generosity and helpfulness. I really don't know what we would be doing without it. My sister has practically been living here and I have had so much help from others. I am such a lucky person to have so many people who care and have been willing to help. I have been a basketcase but everyone has just been putting up with me and bringing me lots of food. I can not believe what a different perspective this has given me. I have lots of blogging I need to catch up on. Both of my beautiful boys have had their birthdays and Arlo has started school. So much has been happening around here. It is going to take me a while to get caught up on everything. Especially since I can only sit for 15 min and hour and my 15 min are up! catch up on more later

Cousins, Sleepovers and July 24th

Here I am trying to catch up on Blogging once again. This summer was filled with lots of good times with the cousins and friends. Here are some highlights....
When Teague came in town we had a very fun week. We had all of the cousins do a campout/sleepover in the back yard. We roasted marshmallows in the firepit and slept out on the trampoline. The kids had a blast
