Happy Valentines

I figured if I do this post while it's fresh in my mind I wont be posting about Valentines day in July... We had a fun and festive valentines day. Dyl and I got to go to Arlo's party at school and help frost cookies and play games. We all had lots of fun. I made some cute little rocketship valentines out of Rolos (because I stay at home and am hard up for entertainment)

They turned out really cute I think. Then I made a special Valentines dinner for all of us. We had homemade Mac & Cheese with Kilbasa (shaped in a heart) and broccoli. The boys and I had so much fun decorating the table.....

I had the idea to get out some butcher paper and make a table runner out of it that we could decorate. The boys thought this was really cool.

We wrote notes telling each person in the family what we love most about them:

We ended the night by exchanging our valentines gifts, and everyone was pretty darn pleased with what they got....so glad I dropped a few hints about getting the Adel CD-good job picking up on them honey, and a record even! I got Clint the Modern Family DVD for us to watch together because that show is halarious and the boys got transformers.

A great valentines day spent with the little and big ones I love most!

Halloween Madness!!!

As time goes by my blogging skills seem to become worse and worse. I guess it's better to get the fun moments on here at some point rather than not at all right? so Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I love the fall, candy apple making, sewing costumes,Halloween party's, trick or treating, and of course the candy! here is some pics of all of the fun things we did....

Per tradition we went Trick or Treating with My Sister and her family and Amber and Flint. We just love our little group and always have such a fun time. Here is beautiful Amber and her darling little Duck Arlo in his Scarecrow pumpkin costume. I think it turned out pretty good. He looked nice and scary just like he requested.

Every year we throw a Halloween party a few weeks before the big day, light a fire in the backyard, let the kids run around like crazy people, carve pumpkins, roast lots of stuff and have a blast.

That was our Halloween. Gets me excited for next year

Dylan's Birthday Pics

I did a birthday post for Dylan a few months back with no pics of his special day! here is some below.

We kept it simple at my house. Just decorated in Spider man made some cupcakes and had the family over to celebrate.

Arlo's special Day

On Arlo's birthday we celebrated by heading to Tracy Aviary with some of Arlo's favorite people; my Sister, Sophie, Hayley, Ethan and our good friends the Warner's. Arlo just loves Vince, Julian and Lucy. It was a great day from start to finish!

Here's Arlo with his presents! . We made a bird feeder for the backyard in the spring and it really sparked both of our interest in birdwatching. We love to investigate what type of birds come to visit. I thought he would really enjoy a bird book and some binoculars. The basketball is for Jr. Jazz, which he gets to start this year, And of course his favorite things in the world are transformers, so we got him a very cool one he has been wanting.

After presents it was off to Tracy Aviary. We got to watch a bird show, walk around and see some really cool birds and have a yummy lunch. Everyone had a blast!

Arlo's 5th Birthday

We had so much fun on Arlo's 5th birthday. I can't believe how big my boy is getting. This has been a year of a lot of changes and growth for Arlo. I have really enjoyed the sweet, capable, and inquisitive boy he is turning into. Grandma Dilley always has a party at her house for the grandkids. She makes their favorite dinner and cake. This year we decided to host the dilley party at our house. It turned out really fun.

Arlo loves chocolate and peanut butter. This year I tried a chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting and Reeses crushed up on top. It was so so so yummy!
