Phase II Potty Training Complete!!!!

In March I began the potty training journey with Arlo. For a week solid we did nothing but stay home, drink lots of beverages, read potty books, and run around naked (Arlo was the naked one). The concentrated efforts payed off and my little guy took to peeing in the potty very well.
PHASE I PICS-Pee Pee In the Potty

The pooping has been another story. Since the beginning he has had a lot of anxiety about going in the potty. I have just let him take his time and get more confident with the pee part before I pushed the poop thing to much. Well, for quite a while now he has been peeing like a pro but has still been very nervous about pooping. I finally decided a bit of bribery was in order. So for the past few weeks every time he has asked me to put a pull up on him to poop- Arlo's exact wording.... "Momma, I gotta poop can I have a pull up on and some privacy in my room?" I have been saying "Hey Arlo if you want to try and poop in the big boy potty you can get a Millennium Falcon for being such a big boy" (This is a very special star wars ship that Arlo's buddy Julian has and he desperately wants) . Well, today, after about the 50th time of making the offer, he took me up on it!!!!!! Yep He did it. He pooped in the potty.
PHASE II- Poo Poo In the Potty!!!!
We were extactic and as promised we headed off to get him the coveted Millennium Falcon. Just one small problem... They are $160.00...... Yea DOLLARS. They have a smaller version of the one we found at Toys R Us that I thought we would be able to find. This did not happen, and Arlo had his little heart SET on the Millennium Falcon. So, from Clint's phone we checked Craig's list and found a kid in bountiful that was selling one for $20.00. After a quick phone call, off we went. To check it out. Well......below is what we came out with.
For those of you who are not obsessed with Star Wars, this is not exactly what any of us had in mind. Lets just put it this way, it left a lot to be desired; but at this point Clint and I were desperate to keep good on our word- while not spending a ridiculous amount of money. So we both put on our best poker faces and acted like it was the coolest thing we ever saw. Arlo was convinced and thrilled to have his Millennium Falcon! Clint and I couldn't stop laughing the whole way home. Maybe for his birthday I will have to find a bit of a cooler version. YEA ARLO!

We Are having a baby.....(Please Read T-shirt Below)

Arlo's Reaction Upon Hearing the News

Say What??? Hmmm, a brother? That means more toys!

So we had our Ultra Sound on friday and found out we are having another boy. We are both very excited. This means we will have a head start on clothing etc. Both Clint and I were betting on a boy. I don't know why but I always envisioned having 2 boys and a girl...(we will see if the latter prediciton comes true) Anyhoo, I wanted to think of a fun way to tell our fam and I came up with the idea of a t-shirt. So after we found out I headed to a craft store and this is what I made. It was so fun so see how long it took people to catch on. Clint's sister Darlene saw it almost immediately. Everyone was really excited. After an hour with my mom I had to say "Mom read Arlo's shirt". It was so much fun. We are very excited. I am in love with my little boy and am excited for another one.

I'll Kiss you better

Today I was in the kitchen complaining to Clint about how my foot was really hurting me when Arlo wandered in and said "what is wrong with your foot Momma?" "Oh I have been on my feet alot today and my foot hurts." I replied "Your foot has and owie" Arlo exclaimed with concern "Yes, but I'm OK." I said "Oh, I am sorry mom, here I can make it better"
Then my little boy walked over to my dirty grass stained foot bent over, and planted a kiss on it. Now that is love! I got a bit misty eyed and said "Arlo you are the sweetest best boy and Mamma loves you. He looked up at me and said "I love you to Momma"
I am so lucky to have him!

Arlo's rendition of Allstar

For our easter trip Clint made a CD of all of Arlo's favorite songs so he could listen to it on the drive down. The CD has 22 songs and the kid was mesmerized. The only thing he said for a full 2 hours was "What's this song Dad". He has thoroughly loved his mixed CD and likes to listen to it A LOT! I probably know every song by heart now, and he's getting pretty good himself. Here is a little sample of his singing abilities
