Bear Lake

Every year we have our annual Poulsen Family campout and this year it was held in Bear Lake. There has been lots of changes going on with that side of the family , so it turned out to be a very small group of us this year but we had a blast! Aunt Martha & Uncle Jay brought Jessie and Cassie and Heather came up with the kids and My Mom. We had a ton of fun at the beach, the rasperry days carnival, biking around town, and hangin at the KOA.

Puzzle Genius

So Maybe this isnt amazing, but I was impressed. In early June Dylan started putting together these 30 piece puzzles by himself! He was pretty darn proud of himself so I had to get some pics. Arlo thought it was way cool too.

Vegas, My Sister 6 kids and Chaos!

This June Heather & the kids were planning on watching  Teague for a week in Vegas while his mom Nicole was gone for a business trip. I thought it would be a great idea to for us to tag along! Arlo had been missing Teague something terrible and I knew it would make his whole summer to be able to go on a road trip with his cousins and see his best friend. I decided surprising him would be so much fun! I made a card with a picture of Teague and Arlo on the front and a map with our car heading to vegas on the inside. I packed up the car early in the morning and told the boys we were going with the kids to the park. Once we got there Hailey handed Arlo the card ( I wrote some cute little rhyming message that told him what the plan was and she read it outloud...

Turtles.
We did lots more than go to this cute little animal farm but, I kind of gave up on picture taking after about the 1st day. In theory the trip seemed like a great idea...and in many ways it was; The kids had a blast, but I did realize that I am NEVER EVER meant to have 6 kids! We were all staying in Nicole's condo, which was so much fun but really cramped. There was no way for mom to get any downtime from all of the chaos and after a few days I felt pretty crazy! Heather of course handled it with no problem and made me feel like a psycho ( I wonder why) but we did manage to get a night out just the two of us on the strip and we had so much fun. (thanks aunt Michelle) . Over all even amidst the chaos I am glad we did it. I just think next time I might either need to hire a therapist or rent a hotel room....

Zoo with Friends

We went to the zoo this summer with our best buddies the Warner's and also our friends we made from baseball, the Zollinger's. We had a great time.

Dylan & Potty Training.

Back in June we decided it was time for this household to be diaper free. Dyl had been pretty vocal about when he had to go potty and was heading into the closet for some "Privacy" for quite some time so I decided he was ready. I got myself geared up and prepped for a week at home with very little clothing, lots of liquid, lots of treats, lots of stickers, lots of dollar toys, and lots of patience. This kid did amazing! after about 2 days Dyl had it down. He always wants to be doing exactly what the big kids are doing and I think having his big brother around is what made it such a snap. Arlo was a huge help and would ask Dyl all the time when they were playing if he needed to go. He wanted to go in with Dyl everytime to help him get the stool and help him with his pants. It was the sweetest thing.

Way to go Dyl we love you!

My Little Monkey's

So the boys get pretty creative with their playtime. This is them pretending to be monkeys.....I think the gloves on the feet were a nice touch. I cant believe how long this entertained them.
Cutest Little Monkey's Mom's ever seen!

End of The School year festivities.

At the end of the school year Arlo's school put on a multicultural fair and it turned out great! Each class was asked to do a performance.

CORNHOLE!

When we visited Aunt Claire in Georgia we played the funnest game called Cornhole. Since we've been back Clint wanted to make one for our family. He finally got some time to do it. We have had a lot of fun with it this summer with friends and family.
