Merry Christmas....and other things

Well, It seems since this surgery thing has happened I am still not up to par in all areas of life...or any really. As we were getting our christmas cards ready this year, I sat down to do our annual christmas letter but I just couldnt seem to make it happen. The only thing that came to mind was something that would say 2010 sucked see you next year. I know that is a bit extreme. I mean we had a lot of great things happen this year. I am so happy that Dyl is finally a good sleeper.for the first 5 months of his life he was the pits. Clint and I are finally running on more than a few hours between the two of us. This back surgery thing still seems a bit life altering. I know I am going to get back and I think I am actually doing great, but in all honesty it has done a number on our family and me. I have been a bit mental as a result. I am finally starting to feel like myself again. My new slower and slightly gimpy self. Wow, it sucks so bad to have to slow down, a lot. I like going fast, I like being efficient, I like to be able to get it all done, myself...yea thats not happening these days. I am learning a lot though. I am learning some things just cant matter, or I will go insane. I am learning that attitude is about 98% of everything. I forget this on some days as well. But I am so grateful. I love my little family so much. Dyl is growing so fast and is the fire and fun in the family. He loves people, He is so silly and just cracks me Arlo and Dad up all day. Arlo is the best big brother. I am so proud of what a good boy he is turning in to. He is so protective over Dyl and cant stand to see him hurt or upsett. We have had a great Christmas. Clint's sister Claire has been in town and we all slept over at Grandma & Grandpa's house. It was so fun to see all of the kids opening their presents. Arlo has been in heaven with all of his cousins. My sister Heather has been doing the holidays without Eric (he is in Irac) and we all miss him. She is the toughest person I know and totally handles all three kids herself and still listens to me whine. Mom slept over their for Christmas and we all had a great lunch. It has been so much fun this year to celebrate with family. Clint has the next week off of work and we have a lot of fun things planned while his sis is in town. We even get some time with just the adults in wendover -yea! Thats whats new with us...happy holidays everyone.

Thankful Tree

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and I wanted to do a little craft to get us in the spirit of giving and being thankful. My sis and I decided to make a thankful tree. I got this idea from a friend last year and just thought it was so cute. The kids loved painting the leaves and Arlo really got in to making a list of what he is thankful for.

Our finished product
Some of the things we are thankful for.....

Dad sleeping by me
Coffee....Starwars & When Mom & Dad play with me....Quiet Moments....Going to Grandma & Grandpa's house....

Fall Leaves

Today Clint took the boys outside to play in the leaves while I had at least 30 minutes of pure bliss inside. What counts as bliss these days? Sipping some coffee, listening to some tunes (Jose Gonzoles) and sweeping my floor with absolutely no interruptions. As I was taking it all in I glaced out the window and saw all three of my boys playing so cutely in the leaves. I opened the window and snuck a few pics.

Arent they cute?
